This week I also met with Peter who is one of Kappa Alpha Pi's co-directors of brotherhood. this conversation was especially beneficial because Peter shared his experiences as brotherhood chair. we talked about why he decided to go for that position and what brotherhood has taught him which I found very interesting. he was saying that when he joined Kappa Alpha Pi he was mostly expecting to grow professionally but he didn't realize how much he was going to gain from the brotherhood. I found this point exceptionally interesting because I have already started to realize that as well even in my short time being in Kappa Alpha pi as a pledge.

That not during our interview we talked about her process of getting into law school and how she decided to on USC. Chating with her was very inspiring and it just showed me how hardworking and dedicated she is to her work.

I also meet with Aya this week and I also really enjoyed our conversations. we talked about her role in sexperts. An organization that educates and speakers openly and positively about sex. I thought it was really cool that she is so involved in a program that is so dedicated to destigmatizing such taboo topics. We also talked about her experience in kappa Alpha Pi and she reassured me that while the process is intense it is extremely worth it in the end and to keep pushing which I really needed to hear.

Quota 3 Yesterday, I had the pleasure of meeting with Chanel for an interview. We met on campus which was really nice and we discussed what it was like growing up in social and then also choosing to go to university here. This was something we both had in common as we are both from so cal. Staying in the same state for school definitely wasn't something either of us thought about often but we discussed how convenient it can be to just go home on the weekends and or holidays and how it is nice that we are close to family so we could always go back if we needed them. we also talked about our differences with growing up. she was telling me how she is an only child and how it sometimes could get only but that also meant that she was really close with her parents.

Quota 4: I had a really nice conversation today with Hanna today. We Met up for our interview at 9 and got breakfast at b plate one of the best dining halls. We actually bonded over how delicious the food at B plate is. we also talked about the differences in the pledging process online vs in person and we compared the similarities and differences. It was really interesting hearing about how different their online process was. We also talked about our majors specifically her minor in Spanish which I found really abnormal. Lilian and I met at the study. We both discussed our love for trying new food in Los Angeles and I confided in her about my struggles going to new restaurants since I am a full time vegan and part time vegetarian. She recommended a few different places to try out and I look forward to being able to try them in the future. I also talked to her a bit about how I am stressed about the pledging process, but she said I should not give up because I am so close to finishing. Our conversation was great and I can’t wait to get to know her more in the future.
