Mihir - I met with Mihir at the Study. This is genuinely my favorite interview I have had thus far. We talked about a million things. Food, video games, clothes, debate, music, and so much more. He was so easy to talk to and always brought up new points. He showed me some speech and debate videos that were very funny to watch as I did not know what to expect. I am looking forward to talking to him more throughout my pledge process.

Akunnia - Akunnia and I met at the study. Akunnia is hilarious. We mainly talked about fashion and places we like to shop. She told me about Melrose trading post and the bargains you can get there. She told me she gets most of hew jewelry there. I have never been there before even though I live in LA. We also talked about Aya because we are both close with her.

Jessica - I met with Jessica today. We mostly discussed her experience with Kappa Alpha Pi as she is an alumni and I was curious to see the benefits of Kappa Alpha Pi post grad. This tied into our conversation about her current position as a legal assistant with Mark S. Temple firm. She was very sweet and gave a lot of advice about clubs to join during undergrad, and to focus more on GPA than anything else.

Michael Keily - Michael was another alumni I interviewed. For the most part, we talked about Zz, as I am obsessed with them. We both had a lot of great things to say about them. We also joked around a bit about the retreat, as he came into the room one time to tell us to be quiet, and I had no idea he was Zz's boyfriend. He was a lot less intimidating than I anticipated.

Ricky - I met with Ricky at the gym with a couple of my other pledge brothers. We mainly talked about our pledge brothers relationships. Ricky talked about being very chill and not too involved with aftermaths. He said the only one he has ever given was to Leslie. He also talked about his first year being online while living in Westwood. He talked about the work he put in freshman year fall quarter as he was pledging for both Kappa Alpha Pi and Lambda.

Ira Phatak - I met with Ira at Kerckhoff Patio for a double with Jack. Ira was so sweet and laidback, which is fun since she is the president. I can tell why she was elected. We talked a lot about movies. Out of all her favorites I had only seen inception. We talked about living in numerous paces growing up and the different experiences in each location. We also talked about falafel at the end and she recommended Bella Pita.

Michael Nazar - I talked to Michael today. I was very excited for this meeting since I had talked to him during both the pledge alumni mixer and the professional event. He is hilarious yet so hard working. We talked about our birthright trips, and the amazing experiences that we had on them. We talked a bit about his work but moved on to how he is a big "thrifter" and practically dumpster dives. We also talked about his raw fish cutting techniques.

Peter - Peter and I met on Kerckhoff patio. I had a great time talking to him, despite being slightly intimidated beforehand. He has a great sense of humor, and we laughed at a lot of similar things. We mainly talked about vegetables, we are huge vegetable fans. I hope to one day carry around a head of romaine lettuce around campus as well. We also discussed film, which was something I was scared to discuss, but it was great time. I actually had seen some of the same movies, despite only having ever seen like five in my lifetime. Towards the end we discussed religion, and he provided very interesting information and insights I had not heard or thought of before. I am looking forward to reading his upcoming article.

Adrian - Over the course of membership education and other aspects of my pledge process, I have gotten to know Adrian. As he said yesterday during our last memed, he is a very empathetic person and is not quick to judge, and I wholeheartedly agree. During membership education he always asks question to learn more about my pledge class. Even something simple, like asking what restaurant I am going to later, makes yo feel valued and listened to. He has opened his home numerous times to my pledge brothers, has spent lots of time preparing for memed, and is even kind in person. When I was sitting by myself during kidnap a pledge because I wasn't having a good day, he sat with me and asked how I was doing, and then invited me to play rage cage. I have appreciated Adrian's presence throughout my process and looking forward to spending more time getting to know him in the future.

Matthew - I have also gotten to know Matthew throughout memed and my pledge process. Similar to Adrian, Matthew is very kind and a great listener. But what I have taken more notice of is his great sense of humor and his intelligence. The author of an amazing fried chicken poem, which was hilarious but also brilliant. Hearing him speak so eloquently during memed especially during our lesson on elevator speeches was enlightening.

Aya - Aya is my big so we have an "interview" practically every other day. Aya is one of the most compassionate people I know, constantly putting others before herself, even sometimes too much. She always extends a hand out and makes sure everyone is doing okay. I do not believe she has an evil bone in her body. We have so much in common, freakishly so. I am thankful for her constant advice and conversation, it as really gotten me through this pledge process. I am excited to become even close with her over time.

Saba - Saba and I met with Faith today. We sat at the fountain, which was sadly not running water. We talked about traveling places, and what our plans are for the summer. Faith and Saba were discussing being immigrants, which I could relate to as my adopted parents are immigrants. We talked about languages and I said I wished I could have taken ASL in high school. We talked a lot about the importance of languages, especially sign languages.

Caroline - Caroline and I met today at Kerckhoff. We mainly discussed crime TV shows. I told her that I haven't really watched too many but I used to be a huge Criminal Minds fan and that I dabbled in Law and Order. We also shortly discussed Taylor Swift as we are both Swifties. Her more than I but I use any chance I can get to know more Taylor lore. We discussed Olivia a bit, as that is her little, and how they are in the same sorority. Caroline was super sweet and I am glad I finally got a chance to talk to her.

Ian - Ian and I met at the bomb shelter today. We did not have much time to talk, but I asked him more about what I wanted to know in my email. I asked him about being in his third year and what school was like for him during COVID. I asked him about being the hand sanitizer pledge and it was kinda funny hearing about having to put it on each time he was to handshake an active. I wish I could have asked more questions. I want to get to know Ian more since I don't think I learned as much as I would have liked.

Chanel - Chanel was absolutely the sweetest person ever. Our conversation flowed so well and there were no pauses. We talked a lot about her trip to Vegas that Mihir had mentioned to me. We talked a little bit about shopping, and she told me about sales Urban has where it is actually affordable. We also talked a lot about Kash and Aliza, as those are my twins, and her littles. I talked about the Cat Cafe with her because Aliza told me a lot about that. I love cats but I am allergic. Sad.
