Quota #5: Claudia Marza My first interview for this quota was with an early Alumni Claudia. Claudia and I are in the same International Development Studies class so we spent some time bashing on how the professor is absolutely terrible, not just in his teaching style but most important in the content. We went on to discuss our family background and what we have planned for the summer. Claudia informed me that she is going to be spending her summer preparing to enter the Teach-For-America program as she was just accepted for this upcoming school year. Overall it was a great conversation and I really enjoyed it.

Quota #5: Adrian Pagan My second interview for this quota was with Adrian. He's honestly a really cool and chill back guy. We discussed our soccer skills and how I am ten times more beast then him on the field. We went onto talk about our worst fears and most embarrassing moment we've experienced. Can you believe this man really flipped his whole desk and chair in class once, so embarrassing! Overall our conversation was so funny and entertaining.

Quota #5: Ishan Chowdhury My fifth interview for this quota was with Ishan. We talked about the possibilities of what could have been if he was still my grad-big, he also made me feel so much better about the situation. I went on a whole rant about how I love Akunnia and I'm grateful to have such an amazing support system. He allowed me to vent most of the time for our interview and reassured me that I', doing just fine despite feeling like I'm drowning and on top of that feeling super sick. Overall a really emotional and supportive conversation, I absolutely loved it.

Quota #5: Aman Sankineni My conversation with Aman was so funny, we cracked jokes basically the whole conversation. He clowned on my for getting extra sick after jumping in the fountain for our last mission last night. And then we remembered how I had to follow him into the lake at retreat, he kept clowning on my immune system and insisted that if I would have let him go full send into the lake then I for sure would have gotten sick, I guess I'm truly lucky I didn't. We discussed why he decided to go inactive and told me he just had a lot on his plate, he encouraged me to keep pushing on with the pledge process. Overall it was a great conversation, and I had such a fun time cracking jokes with him.

Quota #6: Peter My first interview this week was with Peter. It was really interesting because it was at the gym. I haven’t been to wooden in so long and I’m kinda traumatized to step foot in there heheh but David really helped calm me down and encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone. The interview went great we had a nice chat while both on the treadmill. Peter is so funny, we talked about our family roots, our process while pledging, and he told me all about the cost Eric’s law firm where he is working at. Overall it was a great conversation and peter is such a funny guy.

Carolina really likes crime shows, shopping (she wants to get more into shoes). She also told me all about her position as pfc delegate. Her favorite artist is Taylor Swift and she loves EDM music. Quota #6: Lauren Lauren Salaiz is so nice and I can’t believe she said yes to speaking with me since it was so last minute. She is a Latina queen and a boss that will be a lawyer in the future. I respect her work right now in HOPE (Hispanics organized for Political Equity) and we talked about how we both feel it is important to give back to our community. We shared some not so good past work experiences but Lauren said how this has helped her realize she wants to go more into policy. Lauren told me about her lovely pet dog Max, even though my heart dropped when she told me how one day she came home and her roomate had given him a haircut without her permission. I was shook but Im glad he’s doing better.

Quota #6: Caitlin I met with Caitlin Buckley online, and she said that she was super excited to meet me because im David’s adopted and she is David’s big. She is currently in Boston doing Teaching for America. One thing that she misses about California is obviously the weather and being able to roller skate whenever she wanted. She grew up in Santa Clarita so she has never experienced these changes in seasons but she says that she is holding up just fine and can see herself staying there for a while. Caitlin loves to bake when she’s not teaching and loves making pastries and things from scratch like bagels, which i respect. I can’t wait to try her biscuits one day.

Lema is a reggaeton queen and we both fangirl over Rauw Alejandro, im so jealous that she went to go see him in concert. She’s going to Baja Beach Fest and I know that she will have a great time. Also Lema loves animals and in her apartment she currently mothers a hamster and dog which is so cute.
