QUOTA 5: Matthew Lyou: I met with Matthew through a Bruin Ambassador Program event, and it was so informative! He told me about his time at the program, the high school visits he has gone to, and what his favorite part of the program is. I was just hired this spring so I am pretty new to the program, but I am glad Matthew has already taught me so much about it.

QUOTA 5: Jacob Chau: I met with Jacob at Bruin Plate for lunch and it was such a good conversation. We found out that we both are in the same economics class, and talked about how underrated our major is, and how business economics is much harder than it seems to be. It was really great to be able to talk to someone who shares my major, and I had such a great time having lunch with Jacob.

QUOTA 5: Ranhita Bora: I met with Ranhita and it was genuinely such a fun interview! I had met with Ranhita in the past a bit due to her being in the same family as me, but this time I really got to meet her in a one-on-one setting. I learned so much about her time in Kappa Alpha Pi as she pledged her fall freshman quarter and is now a senior. She also told me about her experience on the UCLA Cheer Team, which was so fascinating to hear about!

She pledged her first quarter freshman year, and she told me so much about how the pledging process helped her become who she is today, and even though at times it was challenging, she is so grateful for it. That was really encouraging to hear, and I am so glad I got to talk to Lema!

QUOTA 5: Nathan Klassen: I met with Nathan outside of the Rendevous tables, which was really great for both of us, as we both live in Reiber Court. I found out that he was an RA this year and is also going to be an RA next year, which is so cool! We found out we had mutual reasons for wanting to attend UCLA, and I was also very impressed with his geography skills and how many towns he knew in New Jersey, considering he told me that he had never been on the East Coast. I had a great time talking to Nathan, and I cannot wait to talk to him soon!

QUOTA 6: Ellen Park: I met with Ellen, my GrandBig, and I am so glad I got to talk to her! She taught me so much about the importance of taking a gap year, as she is currently spending two years in New York working for Teach for America. We also bonded over the fact that we both love yoga, and she told me that she is currently teaching at Corepower at the Upper West Side location, so I am definitely going to take a class from her this summer!

We bonded over so many things, such as our love of traveling, our love of planning outfits, and our mutual love of the Herbivore Food Truck at UCLA. Chanel is absolutely amazing to be around, and I am so thankful for the time we have spent together.

QUOTA 6: Megan Hoang: I met Megan outside of Sproul Landing, and I had so much fun during our interview. We both talked about our daily routines, our pet peeves, and our opinion on coffee. I personally love coffee not for the taste, but what it does to me, and Megan told me she was the opposite, which I found so interesting!

QUOTA 6: Lillan Lamb: I learned how Lillan worked at Baskin Robbins for more than a year, which is so interesting because I also worked at an ice cream parlor during high school for quite a while as well. I also learned that Lillan is currently an Electrical Engineering Intern which is so impressive!
