Interview with Active Megan Hoang - Quota 2 Last week I had the pleasure of speaking with Active Member Megan just before our pledge social was to be held. I met her outside of Saxon and we went to get food from the study together before we found a table at Rieber to sit down and talk. Our conversations ranged from topics including music to our parents' history and how they ended up where they did. I talked about my experiences with concerts throughout my life and Megan talked about how she only recently found the joy in going to concerts. She had the privilege of seeing BTS live twice. Interview with Active Isabella Lok - Quota 2 I had the opportunity to speak with Isabella early last week and I appreciate her giving me the time to do so. We spoke about her experiences pledging and some of the rifts that formed within her pledge class. As far as I can tell, there appears to be some unsolved resentment between both Narek and Isabella. We also talked about Narek's implementation of yassification in his everyday life. Isabella is not a fan of her given yassified name and she expressed her distaste for the nickname "Isaboofa." I can sympathize with her especially given the fact that Juliana thought it appropriate to name me "Boofton" in her recent themed journal. Overall, I very much enjoyed the experience and I would love to talk to Isabella again in the near future.

Interview with Active Iris Hong - Quota 3 Iris spoke with Daniel and I over Zoom yesterday. We had a very productive conversation, and it was great to see Daniel is surviving his isolation due to COVID. We initially spoke about TikTok's presence as a first person primary resource in conflicts and disasters all over the world. We considered how much more complete our understanding of the September 11th attacks would be had there been these viewpoints. We moved onto (slightly) less disturbing topics, by sharing our fears of needles and blood. The conversation meandered to our experiences with oral surgeries, specifically the removal of our wisdom teeth. I am extremely grateful that Iris took the time to speak with me and I look forward to our potential future interactions.

Interview with Active Micah Mekbib - Quota 3 I spoke with Micah yesterday morning at Kerckhoff patio. I met her early in the morning because she had to get to work soon after. We spoke heavily about our shared love for Kanye West. I am envious that she has witnessed him perform live, and I hope that I will have the opportunity to do so sometime in the future. She showed me her painted water bottle, and I talked about my prized "My Beautiful Dar Twisted Fantasy" vinyl. After spending a good while talking about him, his music and his controversies, we changed the subject of the conversation to Kendrick Lamar. She asked me whether I thought DAMN was worthy of the Pulitzer, and while I do believe it is worthy of many awards and praise, I think it was an apology award for the lack of recognition for his work on "To Pimp a Butterfly." I loved speaking with Micah, and I am glad we found shared interests. I look forward to our future interactions.
